On peaceful terms, of course. During this time every year, the four leaders of the ships meet to discuss the Classari, trade prisoners, form alliances, discuss what has been happening with each crew, and sometimes even trade or gamble with each other.
The small island known only to the Cardinals and their crew was now dotted with people as the four prepared to meet. While usually members of a ship usually stuck to themselves, a few went to speak with those from other crews.

When the Seabelle sailed into harbour of Castaway Island, Captain Atlantis Kailani Thalassa Zambezi stood at the prow of her ship. Gods give strength and patience to deal with my fellow Cardinals. She silently sighed.

Timor Raspith swaggered off of his ship. His shaggy, uneven hair, and large ears gave him the look of a stowaway more than a Cardinal, but his clothes and ship told a different tale.
Mirage looked far more the part, from his elegant clothes and glittering jewels, to his curly white hair and important aura.

The first mate Hawthorne stood next to his captain, the Northern Cardinal. "Do you think you're ready for today?" he asked, glancing over at her. "And you're going to ask about my sister, won't you?"
Offline
Mirage spotted Hawthorne and gave a small, smug smile. That prisoner of his was going to be quite useful.

Atlantis looked like an exotic queen, with a gold crown studded with pearls, emeralds, and red coral gracing her head. Gold chains of office hung from her shoulders, set off by the deep black of her high-necked silk gown. Her enormous sapphire weather rune glittered in the hollow of her throat, and she radiated an aura of regal authority and commanding power.
Offline
Timor spotted Atlantis and shot her a wink and a half-smile.
Offline
Atlantis glanced over at her first mate and gave a curt nod. "I shall make sure we retrieve your sister, First Mate Johnson. Worst comes to worst, we'll pay a little visit to the Vindicta on the open seas." She was calm and composed, her spine straight and her head held high.

As Atlantis glided down the gangway and onto the dock, she met Timor's gaze and merely dipped her head in a polite nod. Well, if it's not the wet rat. She thought dryly.
Offline
Hawthorne visibly relaxed. "Thank you, captain. Is there anything you need me to tell the crew to do while you're in the meeting?"
Offline
Jeanie Robins was writing furiously behind her captian, taking notes on everything.
"Come on then, let's get this show on the road!" Timor called to the others with that lazy grin.
Mirage rolled his eyes.
Offline
"Just tell them to be on their guard and not to lose their heads." Atlantis replied. "And tell them to stay away from the rum. I don't want to come back to a drunken crew." With another sigh, she swept after Timor.
Offline
Jeanie laughed a bit at her captain's orders.
Timor turned to meet up with the rest.
Mirage glanced over at them. "Took you two long enough. I was begining to think you weren't going to show."
Offline
"I will!" he called after her. Turning around, he nearly bumped into Jean. "Taking notes still, are we?" he asked, nodding to the notepad she held.
Offline
"Of course!" Jeanie said with a grin. "This is all so exciting! No one's ever seen a Cardinal meeting before, I have to get everything written down!"
Offline
"You do realize you won't be able to go into the meeting itself, yes? That's strictly for the leaders of our ships."
Offline
"Yes, but still! Even being here...it's all so top secret!" She said, looking adorably excited.
Offline
"I wouldn't have missed this year's meeting for a mountain of gold." Atlantis calmly replied, meeting Mirage's gaze. "The people I've wanted to see the most are both right here."
Offline
"Aww, missed me 'ave ya love?" Timor said with a grin, his accent prominent.
Mirage looked at her evenly. "Oh?"
Offline
A smile curled at his lips. "I can't argue with that."
Offline
"So, during these meetings, do the crews intermingle much? It would be interesting to meet them and exchange stories and observations." Jeanie said.
Offline
With her ever-shifting yet signature scent of tropical storms, salty sea breezes, and heavy floral fragrance with just a hint of ozone overwhelming most other immediate aromas, Atlantis only smiled mysteriously at them both and smoothly replied, "Perhaps, gentlemen, perhaps."

"It depends. Sometimes we're in a good mood and will join each other. Other times...not so much."
Offline
"I expect you want to discuss my prisoner?" Mirage asked calmly.
Timor rolled his eyes. "Hey, if ya can't keep ahold o' your crew then ya deserve to lose 'em."
"Oh," Jeanie said. "I see, do you think anyone is in a good mood?"

Without losing her pleasant smile, Atlantis flicked her hand and a sharp gust of wind slammed into Timor, causing him to stumble a bit. "Please don't make this anymore unpleasant than it has to be, Captain Raspith." She calmly said, never once taking her eyes off Mirage.
Offline
"Tha's my job love." Timor said, straightening his hat and eyeing her rune. Oh yeah, I'm gonna steal that at some point.
Offline
Hawthorne shrugged at that. "Maybe. You'd have to go see for yourself. Tensions are high between us and the Vindicta--" he seemed to spit the name --"so I wouldn't recommend speaking to them."

((...... Me fighting intensely not to instantly start shipping everyone in sight XDDD))
"And it's mine to make sure this meeting doesn't descend into a tavern brawl." Atlantis primly replied, glancing over at the Western Cardinal.
Offline
((Ikr? XDDD Already at least one ship comes to mind))
"Why? What happened with them?" Jeanie asked.
"You're a real buzzkill mate." Timor said.
Offline
((XDDD I know, right?! Also, what sort of accent does Timor have?))
"It's called having dignity and common sense." She sniffed. "You might want to try it sometime."
