She nodded earnestly. "Oh yes. It will take a while to see it, but I can tell."

"Is it bad that I have a sunset in me?"

She shook her head. "Not necessarily."

"...But is it good?"
Offline
"Not necessarily." She said again.

"But then what is it?"

"You'll have to wait and see." She said. "We can't be sure if the sun will rise to storms or a clear sky until it does."
Offline
"Um...ok." Elowen awkwardly shifted her weight.

Beryl didn't seem to sense how weird she sounded.
Offline
I wonder if anyone here knows her? Elowen wondered. She took a glance around the ship, but nobody was around.
Offline
Beryl followed her gaze curiously. "Have you lost something?"
Offline
"Lost something?" She shook her head. "No."
Offline
"Oh, were you simply looking for something unfound?"
Offline
"Um...I guess?"
Offline
Beryl nodded in understanding, as if all of this made perfect sense to her. "Searching for what is unfound can be tricky."
Offline
"Well, I guess so."
Offline
She smiled serenely. This girl sure was weird.
Offline
Elowen tugged on her sleeve and nodded back, unsure of how to respond.
Offline
"Oh my." She said after a moment. "I haven't asked your name. I'm supposed to do that aren't I?"
Offline
"Usually," she mumbled. "It's polite."
Offline
"Well then, what series sounds do I have to make to get your attention?" She asked, her tone and smile polite.
Offline
"Er... Elowen?" Why does she keep saying such strange things?
Offline
"Greetings, Elowen." She said.
Offline
She nodded. "Thanks."
Offline
"Your thanks is accepted." She smiled.
Offline
Elowen turned to stare at her feet with a nod.

Beryl hopped up to sit on the railing on the outer edge of the ship, legs swinging back and forth. "Do we have a destination?"
Offline
Elowen took a moment to search through her recent memories in case she had overheard someone mentioning a destination. "...No, I don't think so."
Offline
"How lovely," she mused, without a trace of sarcasm. "Then i suppose we shall see where the ocean takes us, yes?"
Offline
"I...guess so."
