"That's a relief to hear. The sea usually knows where we need to be before we do."
Offline
"It does?"
Offline
"Oh most definitely!" She said. "The sea has been around longer than any of us, and is very wise."
Offline
"But I thought it couldn't think?"
Offline
"It doesn't need to think, it simply knows." She said with a light shrug and a faraway smile.

((Oh, gosh, I love Beryl XDDD))
Offline
((XDDD thanks!))

Elowen looked at the ocean uncertainly. "Um...ok."
Offline
Beryl studied her for a moment....or could have just been zoning out, it was hard to tell.
Offline
Elowen felt herself frown again. She really is very strange.
Offline
"Your brain is bubbly right now." She said.
Offline
She instantly reached up and pat her head. "It is?!"
Offline
"Oh yes. You need to sort your thoughts out or it will only get worse."
Offline
Elowen closed her eyes and concentrated hard on getting her thoughts in order. Maybe the unorganized mess was what was making her head fuzzy, she figured.
Offline
Beryl simply smiled serenely.
Offline
"Is it working?" she asked, peeking an eye open.
Offline
"Yes, some. The bubbles are slowly clearing, can't you tell?"
Offline
"I...can't really tell."
Offline
"Rest your mind a moment. Let your thoughts float and drift. Do they feel fizzy and rushed, or calm and floating around you?"
Offline
Elowen paused and concentrated hard again. "I guess they do seem calm," she admitted.
Offline
Beryl gave a slow, graceful nod. "Then it's working."
Offline
"Really?"
Offline
"Of course!" She said, her voice calm and gentle as a summer breeze.
Offline
"So what now? My head isn't funny?"
Offline
"That is between you and the sea. It isn't my place to tell you what to do, I am merely a guide."
Offline
She still seemed plenty confused still, but just nodded anyway.
Offline
Beryl didn't quite seem to catch the confusion as being caused by her.
Offline
"This is all very confusing," she sighed, putting her head into her hands.
Offline
"How so?" Beryl asked calmly.
Offline
"I just don't understand anything you're saying. It sounds like nonsense."
