"True enough love."

"The difference between the four of us, however, is that some of us have the decency to pretend like we're not as filthy or low as others." She stated, the cold truth plain in her words.
Offline
"Aye, some o' ya ain't confident enough to be yourselves, but don' worry, I ain't holdin' it against ya."
Offline
"It's called common courtesy, something which I doubt you'd know or care about."
Offline
"Common eh? Well, I'm surprised the fancy lady knows o' it, figured you'd only dabble in the priceless."
Offline
That almost made Atlantis smile. Timor Raspith may be an infuriating, lowborn scoundrel, but he certainly was a charming, infuriating, lowborn scoundrel.
Offline
He gave a crooked, cocky smile, taking her silence as a victory.
Offline
"Could you two imply flirtations with each other later?" Raez asks with a tipped smirk. "I've almost forgot what we were talking about. Besides, you're making bachelors here feel like they're missing out."
Offline
Atlantis arched an eyebrow and asked with an amused expression, "Is that an invitation, Captain Plutoneus?"
Offline
Timor laughed loudly.
Offline
"Back to productivity, yes," Raez says, perhaps cleverly, perhaps not. "I really did expect this year's meeting to be longer than usual, but it seems most things have been going smoothly for all of us, yes?"
Offline
"Yeah, been gettin' some o' your rejects for my crew, well as a couple o' thieves, got some new ships, good trades... things're goin' well."
Mirage rolled his eyes at Timor but nodded. "We do need to be wary of the Classari though."
Offline
"Especially with their new rising stars out on the hunt." Atlantis added. "I've heard that the young Maggie Trinkett is particularly ruthless, even for a Classari."
Offline
"I've heard the same." Mirage said.
"Aww, that little girl? Bet she's no fiercer than any other lady - presen' company excused of course." Timor said.
Offline
"I am curious as to whom your sources are," Raez says lightly, leaning forward to cup half of his face with his hand.
Offline
Atlantis acknowledged Timor's drawled comment with a curt nod before turning back to Mirage and Raez. "I'll be the first to tell you, gentlemen, that my sources come from inside the ranks of the Classari themselves. Unfortunately for you, that's all I'll be saying. A captain has to keep her secrets, does she not?" She raised her eyebrows with a faintly amused expression.
Offline
"Indeed," Mirage agreed with a slight nod.
Offline
"But news of young Classari upstarts aside, I've also heard some rather intriguing news relating to the Moonrise Isles." Atlantis added, a sly gleam in her golden eyes. "The governor of the Moonrise Isles's eldest daughter, the Lady Estrella Letizia Amaris Rosemonte, is sailing soon to marry the young governor of the Sunrise Isles. And with her, she'll be taking a small fleet of ships loaded with her vast dowry."
Offline
"Sounds like a party!" Timor said.
Offline
"However, Governor Rosemonte is an intelligent man and he's hired three Classari warships to guard the fleet while Estrella and all her lovely treasure sail to the Sunrise Isles." Atlantis added, adjusting the golden chains hanging from her shoulders.
Offline
"That could be problematic." Mirage agreed.
Offline
"He spared no expense. They are all fully equipped, bristling with cannon and bloodthirsty Classari, and ready for fierce battles. If a raid was to be planned, the element of surprise would be crucial."
Offline
"Oh, sounds like a right good time! Count me in!" Timor said with a grin, taking another swig from his flask.
Mirage rolled his eyes at the man.
Offline
Atlantis also rolled her eyes and silently questioned how on earth Timor managed to become a Cardinal in the first place.
Offline
((XDDDD Headcanon that no one really knows, he just sorta showed up one day and wouldn't leave))
Offline
"Oh dear," Raez ponders aloud, smiling vaguely. "You lot don't even spare newlyweds, do you? Well, I do think that it sounds awfully like a trap. It'd be awfully not worth it if it turns out there's not even any substantial bait there."
Offline
((XDDD YES))
Offline
((XDDD))
Offline
"Perhaps it is a trap, but I doubt Governor Rosemonte would risk the life of his own daughter simply to lay a trap for some pirates. Unless the Classari have something to do with it..." A keen look crossed her face, and she tapped her chin thoughtfully.
Offline
"You think the Classari might be gaining more control over the land? That could give them new enemies." Mirage said.
