"You have a keen eye, Quartermaster Robins." Atlantis's bewitching golden eyes glittered with amusement. "Yes, I am from the Harmonia Isles. I am a member of one of the ruling families."
That... was surprising. If Atlantis was revealing information about her past, even the smallest kernels of it, to a relative stranger, it meant she had decided to give Jeanie a chance at gaining her trust.
Offline
Jeanie smiled kindly. "How intriguing! I have never been there myself, what's it like?"
Offline
"It's a tropical paradise." Atlantis replied, a sad smile on her face. "The capital city is Pele, which is on Elysia, the largest island in the Harmonia Isles."
Offline
"It sounds lovely. What made you leave?"
Offline
The smile instantly fell off her face and it was replaced by an emotionless mask. "It was a long time ago." She replied vaguely, waving her hand dismissively. "But I'm sure you've heard the tales of how my rune powers awakened?" She shot her new quartermaster a wry look and shifted slightly so Jeanie could catch sight of the enormous sapphire pendant that glittered at her throat. The sapphire was engraved with an intricate weather rune that was etched in silver into the gemstone. It seemed to glow from within, glittering with a thousand different colours and pulsing with power. It hung on an ornate pearl, silver, and diamond necklace around her neck, the sapphire pendant encircled with tiny opals, blue diamonds, and pearls.
It was her Rune of Weather, and it was easily priceless.

"I can't say I'm too familiar with many seagoing tales." She admitted, but eyed the pendant curiously.
Offline
"Really? Then I'll spare you the greatly exaggerated details and make it simple: I sank an entire fleet of Classari ships in a matter of minutes with a hurricane I summoned." Her voice was calm and unflinching, not at all haunted or troubled by this.
Offline
Jeanie blinked. "That is certainly impressive." She breathed.
Offline
"The effort almost killed me." Atlantis curtly replied.
Offline
"I'm so sorry." She said, her voice and expression full of empathy.
Offline
"Don't be. As I said, it was a long time ago."
Offline
She still looked like she felt bad for bringing it up, but nodded.
Offline
Atlantis adjusted her gold-trimmed collar of her deep royal blue coat and her rune was hidden against. "Now, how about I give you an official tour?"
Offline
"Oh that would be lovely!"
Offline
"Excellent. Hawthorne, please join us. Your insights into the ship would be very educational for Miss Robins." She turned to her first mate. "I understand that you already gave her a general tour of the ship's main areas?"
Offline
((Poke))
Offline
Hawthorne nodded. "Only the general areas, yes."
Offline
"Good. Then I'll be able to give our new quartermaster a more in-depth tour of her new home." Atlantis gracefully rose from her seat and glided towards the door of the kitchens.
Offline
Jeanie rose as well, placing her utensils on her plate before leaving.
Offline
Hawthorne jogged after Jeanie. "Wait up, I'm supposed to give you a tour. Don't you remember?"
Offline
Jeanie slowed when he asked.
Offline
"I've best be showing you to to the quarters where you'll be staying."
Offline
She nodded. "Oh yes! That would be lovely!"
Offline
"This way," he told him, leading her below deck.
Offline
She followed closely, mapping the area as she went.
Offline
"The storage room is to the left," he explained, motioning to the left. He turned right. "And this way is the sleeping quarters."
Offline
She followed along, occasionally stumbling over a stray rope due to her focus on mapping rather than watching where she was going.
Offline
"It might be best to map later so you don't trip over yourself while you're down here," he teased, coming to a stop. There were two doors; one to the left and another to the right. "Girls sleep in the room on the right, and boys have the room on the left. You'll have to check with Elowen to see which hammocks are open."
Offline
She nodded, memorizing the area. "Alright, thank you."
Offline
"Of course. I think that's really all that's left to show you. Do you have any further questions?"
